1. Institutional profile

Full name:Center for International Exchanges Digital Alliance, abbreviated CIEDA; in Chinese it is commonly known as 国际交往中心数字联盟.

Founded:31 May 2024 — the founding document of the CIEDA Sounding Board was signed and took effect by the three co-founders.

Nature of the founding:Initiated by three co-founders — the Norway–China Friendship Association (NCFA), NEX AS and the Tsinghua Alumni Nordic East–West Dialogue (TANEWD) — as an international organisation network with a mission of digital international exchange.

Geography and network:Norway and the Nordic region are its principal founding base; it recruits members worldwide, connecting enterprises, institutions and individuals in the digital field across countries.

2. Purpose (Sustainable Exchange)

According to the founding documents, CIEDA aims to:

Leitmotif:SUSTAINABLE EXCHANGE — sustainable exchange
Key points in English: gather global digital resources; build an open, sharing and cooperation platform; promote innovation and development of digital technology; strengthen international information, technological, and cultural exchanges; promote a safe, transparent and sustainable digital transformation and AI development.

3. Governance structure

CIEDA has a three-tier governance structure — Board of Directors, Secretariat and Sounding Board:

BodyRoleDescription
Sounding Board

Partners include the Shanghai Taihu Academy founded by Mr Nan Huaijin and SoL China, founded by Peter Senge.

Key dates

Note on the personnel lineage:Mette S. Husemoen and Gro Harlem Brundtland (chair of the 1987 Brundtland Commission that published Our Common Future, and former Prime Minister of Norway) co-founded the ISFiT International Student Festival in Trondheim in 1990, which gave rise to the Student Peace Prize. Through this lineage, CIEDA's Norwegian founders and the “sustainable / peace” leitmotif run in one continuous line.
Note on the family lineage:Chenglin Will Zhang and Mette S. Husemoen are married; their fifth son, Zhang Jiaqi, was named by Nan Huaijin. This family bond closes the circle of CIEDA's “China–Norway co-founding” at the level of the founding families.

5. Main activities and programme directions

Financial mechanism:Funded initially by the Joint Project Development Committee, with voluntary donations from institutions and individuals; support is also sought from government, business and wider society.

6. Vision and programme system

(1) Intellectual origins

(2) Leitmotif and flagship programme

CIEDA leitmotif:SUSTAINABLE EXCHANGE — sustainable exchange — not a one-off cultural exchange but a sustainable mechanism.

Flagship programme:“Carbon-Based Guardianship · the Memory Wall (Digital Wall of Memory)” — launched by CIEDA in 2024, built on blockchain (Web3.0), with each “brick” as a carrier of memory and oracle-bone script motifs expressing the spirit of carbon-based civilisation, advocating that humanity guard its cultural heritage together.

Two-track vision:Carbon-based guardianship (cultural heritage / human memory) + silicon-based life (digital immortality / data attestation).

(3) Technical base: the NFE ecosystem

NFE (Non-Fungible-Evidence) is how the Web3.0 era gives expression to confirmed relationships between people and things, between people and rights, and between things and rights.

Three-layer architecture:

The operating body is Zhongchao Jinyin IP Advisory Co., Ltd.

Diplomatic evidence:Using the Great Wall as its motif, it presents inscriptions left by foreign dignitaries who visited between 1988 and 2018 (the King of Norway, the Prime Minister of Romania, European Council President Tusk, Luxembourg Prime Minister Bettel, the First Lady of Argentina and others) — evidence that “a small cultural symbol connects China and the world”.

7. Brand identity and logo design concept

7.1 Mark overview

The CIEDA identity has two parts — the emblem and the wordmark — in the horizontal mark + wordmark structure used by global brands:
